The selection procedure in the second round of the LEaDing Fellows programme is in full swing. A total of 184 applications for 40 positions have been received in the second round.
The LEaDing Fellows met mid March 2018 to select a shortlist of 120 proposals.
The next step will involve appointing three different external peers to review each proposal on the shortlist. Following this external review, the academic panel will convene again in June to prepare a proposal for the final candidate list. The steering committee will ultimately decide which candidates are selected.
Almost all of the fellows selected from the first round have now started their work at one of the institutions. An introduction meeting for these fellows took place on 8 March. President of the Executive Board and Rector Magnificus of TU Delft, Prof. Tim van der Hagen welcomed the fellows in his role as chairman of the LEaDing Fellows Steering Committee.
The meeting was a great success: a lot of information was exchanged, the fellows took part in an Intellectual Property workshop and the meeting concluded with an opportunity for participants to share an informal drink and become acquainted with each other.
Outcome of the second call will follow later.
